Sorry I've been away for so long, but life has just caught up on me and I've been focusing on school much more recently. But now I'm back!
Today I've had such a good day. It's the start of December, I've been at school with my friends, how much better could it get? I wore my Christmas jumper (which has bells on!) and I didn't have rehearsals, a day off is always nice.
After school me and Georgina both felt very festive, we made ourselves hot chocolates before suddenly deciding to make some cookies with what little ingredients I had. They actually turned out really nice! We then went and set up my Christmas tree with red and silver decorations and it looks so good!
I'm looking forward to the rest of December as there's so much going on! The school production is next week, I'm going to a German Christmas market and am planning on going shopping for Christmas presents as I now have enough money to get good gifts, thanks to my job!
Okay, before I properly begin this post I just wanted to let you know something. I am picky with stationery. I have to write with a certain type of pen, the reason for this is that since I was around 8 years old I have a callous on the finger where pens and pencils rest, so I need comfy pens.
I actually hadn't planned on getting a new bag this year and to keep using my warm yellow Kanken, but seeing as I could get £40 off on the ASOS website I decided to treat myself. I got a new Kanken but in graphit and I thought this was a good decision as it's grey and will go with what I'm wearing, as now I'm in Post 16 I can wear whatever I want!
I've heard from many different people that even if you're taking four subject at A-Level there still is a lot of work so lever arch folders are needed. I ordered two brown paper with gold polka dot ones off of Paperchase, as well as 10 dividers to split between the two folders. In the folder I will take with me to school I have two Oxford Campus 300 page refill pads, as it comes with a lot of paper and is of a high quality. To keep me organised I have a yellow planner with a Filofax insert to keep me up to date with my homework and tests I need to revise for.
I have decided to stick with the same pencil case as I have been using for the past four years (oops) which is a Cath Kidston zip purse in a floral pattern. In it, I am using the Zebra classic ball point pen which I've been repurchasing for years, and Bic evolution ecolutions graphite pencils. I'm also using the Zebra mildliners (blue pack) for highlighting this year as I love the pastel colours and ones which you wouldn't usually get like grey! On days where I have biology I will take my Casio scientific calculator as there is a maths section we need to know. There are a few things like journals and textbooks which aren't pictured but they're not important.
Just as a (not so) quick note at the end, the other day I got my GCSE results and I'm super happy with them! I got B's in maths, fine art, dance, biology, physics, English language and psychology and C's in chemistry and history. I know I could have done better and I really wanted an A in psychology but I'm happy with a B. I'm also surprised at passing history as for two years we've had crap teachers due to one becoming terminally ill and this year only having a 30% pass rate for it! A few months a go in mocks and controlled assessments I was getting E's and below but I'm so happy with getting a C! Now that I have a B in two sciences and maths I can do the A-Levels I have chosen which are biology, visual media, psychology and dance. On another note, getting a B in English language and maths it now means I can do the course I want to at university!
I am really pleased with my results as the first year of GCSE's didn't go as well because I took a while to adjust to a new school and people but I am now going in to my third year here and couldn't be anymore happier!
Recently I have arrived back in England after a two week holiday in Majorca. I'm not going to go in to detail about what we did as, to be honest, we relaxed around the pool most of the day! I just thought I'd share some pictures of my time away on here.
For two days in the second week of the holiday we hired a car which was nice (apart from the time we had to stop the car because I get travel sick!) so we were able to go to different places around Majorca. We visited Palma, Porto Cristo, Port de Pollenca and old town Alcudia. I really recommend visiting these places if you ever find yourself in Majorca!
The only down side I've found of going to Spain is that there isn't much of a variety of what vegetarians can eat, only pasta and pizza, which I didn't want every night! Personally, I prefer Greek food but for those who do eat meat, there is a lot of options on the menu.
Cutting off our hair was something Georgina and I wanted to do together as it would be quite a big step in both of our lives and our parents were reluctant to let us get it done. Telling them we wanted to donate it was the tipping point in us being able to finally get it cut off as it was for a good cause.
We kept it secret from most of out family and friends as when we arrived at the school leavers party we expected a lot of people to be shocked as we didn't let anything slip (on the most part!). Personally, I've not had family or friends who have suffered from alopecia or hair loss due to illness but I still wanted to donate my hair as it's for a good cause.
Collectively, Georgina and I have donated over 20 inches of our hair, and it's going to be sent to the Little Princess Trust and mixed with hair of a similar colour to be made in to a wig for a child with no hair.
Doing this has not only made my hair thicker but it has improved the condition and made it feel so much more softer. I absolutely love how my hair looks so I'm just hoping our dance teachers aren't too shocked as we have a dance show and dance exam this week!
Recently my life has been consumed my revision so blogging hasn't been a priority but I thought as a treat for only having seven exams left then I'd write a post. I'm going out to my mums friends party tonight so I decided to do a dramatic eye shadow look, I hope it worked!
I've also been looking in to cruelty free makeup products to buy after I've used what I've got. These are marked with a '~' so if anyone has any suggestions then please comment!

I've been loving nude lips and dramatic eyes recently, I think it looks okay because I was having a 'mare with the eyeliner and eye shadow! There aren't any eyebrow products included as I have recently gotten HD Brows which I absolutely love!
Recently I have been absolutely obsessed with this smoothie. I think that it's perfect for in the morning as it contains oats which fill you up and prepare you for the day. Even though it's not the nicest to look at it tastes so nice and if I could I would drink them all day everyday!
Ingredients: - Banana - Peanut Butter - Milk (to make it vegan, almond milk) - Oats | Method: 1. Break up the banana in to small pieces and put it in to the blender or smoothie maker of your choice. 2. Add a table spoon of peanut butter in to the cup and then fill it to just above the banana with milk and blitz quickly. 3. Then add 25g of oats in to the mixture and anything else you want such as golden syrup or honey and blitz again. |
Recently I have been doing this makeup look a hell of a lot, but I just love it so much!

You may have not noticed but I haven't included a mascara in the list, that is because recently I've had LVL Lashes done which is literally a perm and tint for your eyelashes. It's meant to last 6-8 weeks so for the past few weeks I haven't been using any mascara as my lashes look long enough!
Just finished all of my GCSE mocks and I honestly cannot wait until the summer holidays and I'm done with exams.
2015 has been a good year for me, of course there has been low points like there always is but I have thoroughly enjoyed as I've finally found out who my real friends are and have gained to more amazing ones
I have plans for 2016, but to be honest I probably won't end up completing them all. One of them being:
Get a job. I want to have enough money so I'm able to treat myself and those around me when I want and so I'm able to feel more stable with myself and with the future. This was actually a resolution for this year but as I'm turning sixteen next year more places will be willing to hire me. This actually corresponds with the next goal:
Complete my qualifications. I am now in my final year of GCSE's so it's quite a daunting time for me and my peers as these kind of determine what I want to do in live (which would be something to do with criminology or psychology) but if this doesn't go to plan then there are many things I could do. Using these I want to get in the post 16 and do psychology, visual media, biology and dance as my A-level subjects.
Become healthy and happy. I am by no means the most athletic person, and to become that is not one of my goals, all I want to be it fit and happy with my body and who I am. I have actually been working towards this goal for the past three months or so as I have been going to the gym and doing much more strength training and cardio than I use to (I still haven't ventured in to the main area yet so I'm just doing classes). I'm actually aiming to become more toned and muscular as well as lowering the percentage of fat in my body.
Improve my content. I found that 2015 was a good year for the content of my blog but I am always willing to improve in my wording, design and my pictures but for now it's the words which need to be focused on.
I don't think resolutions should be made just at the beginning at the year as people can create and complete goals as the year goes on.
Have a wonderful 2016!!
So, this is going to be quite wordy posts as I am going to be telling you the ups and downs of my 2015! To be honest, I think this year has been the best year of my life, there isn't an exact reason I have just really enjoyed life!
January
Nothing significant happened in January as it's that aftermath of Christmas and everybody is drained of energy and money. I performed in a dance show called Rock School, yes it is a rip off of School of Rock but that was one of my favourite shows as the dances were choreographed well! It was also my first show with the group I had to audition to get in to which was quite nerve racking to say the least.
February
This month I ended up competing in a dance competition called Mass Movement with my group which, even though we didn't win, was really fun to do for the day (we're doing it again this year!) I also went to London with the same dance group and even though I didn't find the class at Pineapple Dance Studios very interesting I enjoyed the trip as a whole. It was also Georgina's birthday so as an entire group of eleven we went and had Pizza Hut together.
Evie, Lauren, Katie and I in M&M world in London |
I don't even know what happened this month, everything just seemed to fly by! This month I dedicated a little more time to my blog before school became a rush before exams.
April
I got my hair dyed purple this month and I also got my nose pierced on the 1st so I was hoping went okay and they didn't play a prank on me because of April Fool's! I honestly don't think I picture of the piercing has actually been on my blog before. I also finished lent and got to pig out on chocolate at Easter time! I went to go and see Olly Murs on his tour which was really good apart from the fact that as I'm not a massive fan I didn't know most of the words and not many people stood up so people were watching it like it was a film.

Oh my gosh, so much happened in June! The first exciting thing to happen was that I got to go to 5 Seconds of Summer's Rock Out With Your Socks Out tour and it was bloody amazing!! They had such a good stage presence and it was literally non-stop music so I screamed, sung and danced the whole night long. I also met their support act Hey Violet before at their acoustic hangout and they were so nice!! (Thank God Rena got rid of her dreadlocks, I don't agree with cultural appropriation) I then had another two dance shows with two different dance groups one was really good while the other one (from my point of view) was crap, I had to be the bloody tin man dressed in the most unflattering silver leggings and leotard. Literally as soon as the last dance show finished the day after at 5am we left the house to travel down to the Festival of Speed which I thought I wasn't going to enjoy but I actually really did as it was insanely sunny and hot (I got triangles on my knees from wearing ripped skinny jeans, oops) but overall I really enjoyed my day there.
me and Hey Violet! |
At the beginning of the month was my birthday as I turned 15 which was annoying as I still had to go to school but the day after I went to Alton Towers with my school and had a good time with my friends apart from the bus broke down and I was the only one from my friendship group who was on that bus so I was an hour behind everyone else. But I enjoyed the time I got to spend there with everyone. We then broke up from school for the summer holidays and on the first day I got my new camera which I bought from my birthday money, I still love it! I didn't too a lot during the summer holidays as most people were on holiday and I have an internet obsession. I spent a lot of my time at the cricket field as my brother plays and I like to take pictures and hangout with my family and some friends who brothers play.

August was another very chilled month where I don't do a lot. I went on a bike ride with a few of my friends to got to a nearby village where another of our friends lives and we ate lunch in the park. I actually fell off of my bike and ended up with two massive bruises, one in the shape of Africa and the other Australia. I went to Pizza Hut with my group of friends as an annual meal together which was really good as I got to see some I hadn't seen throughout the holidays. My mum, brother and I, with two other family friends, went to Twycross Zoo while a cricket match was going on for hours and I enjoyed that day so much and got loads of good pictures off all of the animals. I also went on holiday to Westward Ho! with my family and two other families. While on holiday I got my Nan to collect my English Literature result which was a C, I could have done better but I honestly thought I had failed it completely. Also, right at the end of the month we went back to school and I entered my final year of GCSE's!
September
This was one of them boring months but one of my friends, Georgina, auditioned and got in to the dance group I'm in so I've spent many hours on Thursdays with her. Literally, so little happened the most exciting thing I can think about for this month was the fact that I joined a gym!
October
This month was another dull month where life just moved on and nothing significant happened until Halloween came around! I stayed in the whole night but most of my friends came round and we were all dressed up in costumes (most were Disney princess') and had a great night filled with laughs and drama from a certain someone.
my cousin, Sophie |
On came Bonfire night. My parents work quite closely with the local cricket club as my brother trains there so they helped plan and set up the bonfire. I went but none of my friends could go apart from one but she was with her running friends so I ended up spending most of the night alone but I got a lot of picture, a few were good ones but as I'm a beginner at photography I'm not good at taking pictures of fireworks.
looks like a Fall Out Boy music video |
Ah, the long awaited month of the year as most people have time off to spend time with their family or by themselves. This month was filled with tests and assessments in school, which is really annoying as I wanted a calm run down to Christmas but we were working up until the day before we broke up for the holidays. On Christmas Eve I actually dyed my hair purple again (it's the day before school starts right now and it's still bright so I'm going to be killed by the teachers) ready for Christmas day. I was very spoilt by my family and I am very grateful for what I got. New Years Eve was such a good day as I went for a meal with my grandparents and uncle before Georgina came round and we made chocolate truffles. A load of family friends came round and nearly everyone got drunk and I tried a few Jaeger bombs, oops.
I hope everyone enjoyed 2015, as for me this was the best year so far and I also hope you enjoy 2016!
