March Favourites

Tuesday, March 31, 2015

My first favourite of this month is my Nintendo DSi, but not only that, my favourite game of this month is Animal Crossing: Wild World. I've had the game for nearly five years now and I still absolutely love it!

My second favourite of the month is something I've had for at least a year now, it's Rimmel's Apocalips in Luna. I have recently found my old love for this colour and have been wearing it too school as it is a nude/orange colour.

The next one on the list is my MAC lipstick in Dark Side. This is going to sound weird but, I absolutely love the smell of it! The colour is absolutely beautiful and it is long lasting with a bit of lip liner on underneath.

My fourth and final monthly favourite in The Body Shop's body mist in Fijian Water Lotus. I normally go for quite sweet scents but decided to go for something a bit different, so I decided on this as it's a very nice fresh scent, great for spring!

Before I love you and leave you I'd like to say, I dyed my hair purple again! It turned out bright purple on the ends and then muted purple/pink on my natural colour which is towards the roots as I have ombre hair (which I still adore even if I had it done in 2013).

What's On My Phone?

Monday, March 30, 2015

I have a white iPhone 4S, I know it's not the most recent but I find this phone does a great job at what it's suppose to do.

On the first page, I have all of the pre-downloaded apps on one page with a folder with more of them in, these are ones which I use even less regularly. Across the bottom I have Music, Safari, Photos and Phone, most of these are apps I use quite a lot. I don't use Phone very often but I like it across the bottom with the others.

Second Page:
Topshop - I can't help but look at clothes which I can't afford.
Snapchat - My personal snapchat is actually my public one as well (eviebf). During the picture taking process I kept getting snapchats from Isabel, she's always on that app.
Instagram - I'm on this app so much! I posted like five pictures yesterday but I have been getting annoyed with it as it keeps crashing most of the time when I'm trying to post unless I restart my phone before. (evie_b_f)
Memrise - This is more of an educational app which I have been using to learn Japanese, I've been slacking quite a bit recently so I have 89 notifications on it.
Twitter - I use this a lot to keep up to date with everything seeing as there has been a lot of drama in the fandoms recently. I don't tweet a lot but I am online quite a bit.
Pacer - The only reason I have this really is cause I want to track how many steps I take each day and how many miles I've walked.
Facebook - I don't use this a lot but now I have a 16GB phone so I have lots of room so I downloaded it.
Tumblr - I love this so much! I don't really have a theme but you can follow me on there (to-the-devil)
Bloglovin' - This is to keep up to date with all of my favourite bloggers and to read there posts on a mobile-friendly platform. I'm not very good with the whole following thing on it and I don't know my user name but if you're reading this online you can click on the blue bar which is down in the side bar.
VSCOcam - I use this to edit my Instagram pictures. I've been using the filter T1 since September now and it still hasn't gotten old.
Messenger - This is connected to Facebook but I prefer to message people on there as it is much faster.
Dropbox - I had this on my old phone as I never had enough room for pictures but I also have it on my laptop so I can take picture on my phone and if I have Wi-Fi I can upload it on to Dropbox and it will be on my laptop!
iMovie - I use this to make the end card part of my YouTube videos but I haven't been recently as I can't seem to download the video off of Dropbox on to my phone as it says it's not compatible or something.
Pic Collage - I use this to make collages and to fit a horizontal picture in to a square for Instagram. I haven't been using it recently so I might delete it.
Afterlight - I downloaded this app in summer 2014 and if you look on all of my pictures on Instagram from then they all have light leaks on them, this is the app which I used.
Spotify - I use this to listen to music I don't want to actually buy. I've been listening to Fall Out Boy a lot recently (eviebf7)

Hope you liked something a bit different! What are your most used apps?

Daily Face Cleansing Routine

Sunday, March 29, 2015

Face wash:
Most of the time I use Clinique liquid facial soap for oily skin as it's a really good cleanser but weekly or twice a week I use Elemis fresh skin exfoliating face wash [not pictured]. It leaves my skin soft and smooth and it cleans my pores. I only need to use one pump/squirt of each of the face washes as they can spread across my face very easily.

Toner:
I use the Clinique clarifying lotion because it reaches deep in to my pores and clears out the dirt and removes any stray bits of make up from around the sides of my face. You only need one or two tips on to a cotton pad and it can get all the way around my face.

Moisturiser:
In the morning I use Clinique dramatically different moisturising gel which leaves my face super soft, another great thing is you only need one pump which is the size of a pea and . I absolutely love this packaging as it's super cute with the sliver C logo on the front. At night I like to use Elemis fresh skin night-time moisturiser [not pictured] as it replenishes my skin ready for the net day

All of the Clinique products which I use are all type 3, which is combination oily. Most of the products which I use are for oily and combination skin as my skin like to change and me insanely annoying half of the time. Sorry, I really hate the picture at the top but it can't be helped.

My Bedside Table

Saturday, March 28, 2015

Lamp - Wilkinsons (2013)
Notepad - Waterstones
Photo Frame - Parrot

My bedside table holds many different things and as I am trying to divert away from my usual beauty posts I came to the conclusion that my bedside table is the perfect thing to do!

As you can see I have a Starbucks drink on my table. I never normally have drinks on my table after I knocked two over two days in a row! (Some landed on my camera but luckily everything is okay.) I have many things on my table ranging from notepads to pictures to ornaments but it's constantly changing. I have no idea where the little Japanese ornaments are from as I got them from my Nan in 2009 and 2010 but I really want to get a few more as they are so cute! I normally have my camera on the table but I was taking pictures with it (obviously). In the background I have a rose clip which I use to hold my photo booth pictures, my face takes up half of the picture in one of them as there was hardly any room!

Obviously, like any other person I have my phone on there as I spend a hell of a lot of time on it in the mornings and at night. I also have my matte black Nintendo DSi as recently I have been obsessed with Animal Crossing Wild World, I've had it for nearly five years but I still spend a lot of time on it.

My Real Techniques Collection

Friday, March 27, 2015

Powder Brush - As it says, I do use this for powder and any contour I need to blend a bit more. It is so soft! Whenever I take it to school my friends always get it out of my bag and rub it on each others faces it's that soft. The only thing I dislike about this brush it that it has such a wide base so it can't fit in my make up bag when I want it to.

Foundation Brush (Travel Essentials Collection) - I hate using this for foundation as I think flat brushes make foundation look insanely streaky and caked on, so instead I use it for liquid concealer which it is really good at.

Stippling Brush - Instead of using this brush for blush and powder I actually use it for my foundation and BB cream as it gives a smoother and more natural look rather than making it really thick. Again, I'm not a big fan of the extra wide base on this one.

Setting Brush - You can use this brush for all the little nooks and crannies for powder but I actually use it for contour and highlighter as you don't get too much on the brush and it looks more natural.

Domed Shadow Brush (Travel Essentials Collection) - I absolutely love this brush! It is great for blending different eye shadows in to the corner and crease of your eye.

Multi Task Brush (Travel Essential Collection) - This brush is the type of thing which you can use for anything really, powder, blusher, etc. Personally, I use it for mainly blush or any days I feel like wearing a powder foundation.

Thank you for reading! Do you own any Real Techniques brushes?

29/3/2015 Update : I just bought the core collection!

My Red Lip Look

Tuesday, March 17, 2015

I don't know if anyone remembers but in one of my previous posts I complained as I had no one to help film my YouTube videos. While Georgina was sleeping over so actually suggested she helped which I am grateful about, thank you!

So, this is my red lip look.

Products I've Repurchased

Monday, March 16, 2015

Sorry I haven't been posting recently. It can't be helped as I've been having science mock exams, which I absolutely hate! I, unfortunately do triple science so I get three GCSE grades out of it. I got a C+ in Biology, B in Chemistry and a C- in Physics. I'm surprised I didn't get any D's!

On to the point in this post. I have recently been looking through my collection of beauty products and have realised I have had more than one of some products, here is a run down:

1. Soap&Glory The Righteous Butter Body Lotion [Pictured 1]
This is my life saver! I got a 500ml for Christmas 2013 and finished it before my birthday in July! I got this one the Christmas just gone and I am over half-way through it. It leaves my legs incredibly soft and moisturised.

2. The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream [Pictured 2]
The one in the picture is the first one which I got, I still use it as it has a tiny amount in it but I have recently bought a new one as I am running out of it. I have the lightest colour in 00 which comes out white (!) luckily it is colour adapting so it changes to suit my skin tone but if I do put too much on I can accidentally go slightly orange.

3. Maybelline The Falsies [Pictured 3]
I have been using this make for a few years now and it hasn't failed me yet! The one in the picture I haven't been using as regularly as I'd like to as it is waterproof so makes my eyelashes feel horrible. I don't have a lot of money at the moment but when I do I'm going to but another one!

4. Collection Extreme 24hr Eyeliner [Not pictured]
What I love about this eyeliner is that it has a super fine felt tip end so my eyeliner was on point for a whole week! I'm actually running out of this slightly so I'm going to have to buy another one (I'm already on my third!).

5. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder [Not pictured]
I was hesitant at first when I bought this as everyone seemed to have it and said it was really good and I'm never really one to follow some trends but as I was in need on a new powder over a year ago I decided to try this and I have never used another powder since. I'm pretty sure I'm on my fourth.

What products do you keep repurchasing?
